P. 80-88 The second part of the contribution on Czechoslovak encyclopaedic science deals with an analysis of the work of the only compiler of Czech general encyclopaedias in these years, i.e. the Encyclopaedic Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences and compares the publications it had prepared (i.e. Reference encyclopaedia in four volumes, Illustrated encyclopaedic dictionary in three volumes, AŽ in one volume, Short Czechoslovak encyclopaedia in six volumes). All these publications were originated in the period of building socialism in the Czechoslovak Republic. The contribution also deals with the activity, plans, concepts, and results of its work (i.e. Czechoslovak biographic dictionary, Geographic topographic dictionary) in time of fall the socialism in1990-1992.
